Major airspace changes to Amsterdam FIR per 11MAR2010.

Per 11MAR2010, some major changes will be implemented in the Dutch airspace. Affected airspaces are:

  • The Amsterdam CTAs East (split in 2) and South (lateral limits changed),
  • The Nieuw Milligen TMAs B, D and E (lateral limits changed),
  • TRAs 12 and 12A (lateral limits changed),
  • Schiphol TMAs 1 and 5 (lateral limits changed),
  • Transponder Mandatory Zones (TMZs) redefined,
  • SRZs Veendam A and B have been removed,
  • ATZ Veendam (vertical limits changed),
  • VFR area Lelystad (lateral limits changed),
  • EH-D9 (lateral limits changed),
  • Schiphol CTR 2 (lateral limits changed).

These changes will be implemented on the new Low Countries VFR chart, so it's highly recommended you update yours if your planning to fly in the Amsterdam FIR.

Of course, the new PocketFMS Master Cycle that goes in effect that same date will also reflect these changes - be sure you update your AeroData!
